Trapped Stray Kitty

Our little stray is trapped in our shed- at least its not the snow. We spotted him from the kitchen and Dylan saw his paws slip through the door. Rescue Mission about to start. Back yard drifts are huge. He tried to push the door open but its covered by a 4ft drift. Kieran is going to dig him out

The Christmas Xtravaganza

The treacherous drive back from Grami's house. It was so beautiful but it was very scary. The roads were icey, no salt/sand and over a dozen accidents. I was so happy when we hit the bridge home. We made it!

The drive from LI to NJ- everyone's asleep. YEAH a nice quiet drive with no traffic.

The beautiful am of Christmas about 7am

Grandpa's Fruit Cake Magic. Tristan ate most of the fruit before Christmas am. I believe Katie helped with the painting of the fruit.
the quiet morning.

Much to Grandma's chagrin we are all enjoying "A Christmas Story" Marathon

The early bird! Yeah Santa did come to Sand Hill Rd.

I love this picture. Its so special already!
Dylan took this amazing picture of Aunt Katie who looks so beautiful!
As part of our crazy Christmas route we drive from Astoria to Grandma and Grandpa's in long island without incident. We have the pleasure of watching a Christmas Story and we get to watch the festivities unfold. This year Grandpa made a beautiful fruit cake with Aunt Katie and an apple/berry pie. This is our first ever family gang style portrait. Tristan refuses to be a part of timed pictures. She hates me running to and fro for the shutter.
We journey from LI to Jersey to go see Grami Walsh. This year we were joined by our crazy cousins from Florida.
The motley crue; Eamon Jr Dylan, Siobhan and Tristan the ham.

A Happy Low Key Thanksgiving

It was a beautiful day partly spent in the park. Tristan learned how to use the digital camera- lots of fingers in many photos.
We had 2 special guests; Uncle Pete and Minnie Mouse shared dinner with us.
Pete had a lesson in mass transit and learned how easy it was to get here by train. Dylan showed him the "light".
Kieran and Dylan made Pumpkin Pie together.
Chef made roasted root vegetables, amazing stuffing or "crouton salad" if your Dylan, mashed potatoes, cranberry and a 15 pound bird all made by Kieran.
I think we overwhelmed Uncle Pete with bloody mary's, beer and wine. Coffee didn't help revivie him but it could have been the turkey leg as big as Tristan.
Dylan quietly retreated back to the kitchen and "stole" some creme puffs in the quiet solitude of the cleaned up kitchen.
Tristan passed out by 8:30 but I think Uncle Pete may have passed out first.

A Day in the Park; Grami Visits and it Never Rained

It never really rained and the storms never came to Queens. Grami drove in to spend the day with this crazy peanut gallery.
We headed to Astoria Park to keep cool.

The Famous Easter Egg Hunt

Even in the barren back yard it was quite the competitive Easter Egg hunt with the addition of Sophie and Pesca.
In the end Dylan was the big winner with 13 eggs as his treasure.
