Our first guest of 2009 was Uncle Frankie! All the way from Maryland. As usual Uncle Frankie was a hit with the kids. Dylan hasn't stopped talking about him.
"Where is Uncle Frankie?", "Why did he leave?".
He shared some great stories with us during our short visit complete with okra soup, cornbread (Kieran) and some chocolates. What a great way to start the New Year.
The best part is Uncle Frankie has stories about the rest of you that haven't been heard before!!
Next visit we are going to take him around the hood. He went to Sunnyside after he left us on his way back to Jan.
Now he is a hero because later that week the kids received a package filled with crayons, markers, coloring books and paper!
